• Feb 2011: Two papers published in Electronic Notes in Theoretical Computer Science, 10.1016/j.entcs.2011.01.015 and 10.1016/j.entcs.2011.01.006. See my publications for details.
• Feb 2011: The masters project "Implementing the Quantum Game of Life" is now underway at Université Grenoble.
• Dec 2010: A Quantum Game of Life is accepted for inclusion in JAC 2010.
• Oct 2010: New paper, based on a minimal 3D intrinsically universal QCA, called A Quantum Game of Life.
• Oct 2010: Start new position at ENS de Lyon, working as a post-doc on the PEGASE project.

• Teaching Research Fellow (ATER), 2009-2010, at the ENS de Lyon.
• European CNRS Research Fellow at the Laboratoire d'Informatique de Grenoble, 2007-2009. Funded by the European QICS EC-FP6-STREP grant. Part of the CAPP (Calculi, Algorithms, Programs, Proofs) team.
• PhD student at the University of Nottingham. Member of both the Foundations of Programming (FP Lab) research group in the School of Computer Science, and the Mathematical Physics group in the School of Mathematical Sciences.

• I am married to Dr Janine Grattage (née Swarbrick). Janine completed a PhD in Physics at the Nottingham Nanoscience Group, and now works as a researcher on ID26 at the ESRF. In July 2010 our first child, Yann Grattage, was born.
